Call for Abstract

The research symposium is planned to offer an opportunity to present the research findings of the academics, postgraduate students and researchers in government and private organizations in diverse multidisciplinary research areas Gemmologists Association Research Symposium -2024 will be held on end of October 2024 at OPA, Colombo 07.

GASL is pleased to invite the following personnel to submit abstracts for oral presentations.

1. All Current University students.
2. All Postgraduate students (MSc./M.Phil. and PhD)
3. Any Academic/administrative staff member
4. Any government, private organization or individual researcher

The research should be covered gemmology in the following areas

• Enhancement of gemstones
• Lapidary
• Jewellery
• Geology and occurrences
• Recent findings of gem varieties
• Socio- economic aspect

The deadline for submitting the abstract is on 15th September.

The abstract preparation guidelines can be downloaded from official website of GASL. Duration for the oral presentation will be limited to 20 minutes including 5 minutes discussion period.

The abstract that does not comply with the guidelines will not be considered for further review/publishing. And decision of selections is on GARS Symposium Panel. The GASL will not bear any expense for submitting an abstract. Abstracts should be submitted to following e-mail address:  jewels.gasl@gmail.com.
